No. You can use an alias or just a first name.
However, you must give your real name to the other Sender for a Mo Mo transaction.
Firstly Senders and Receivers should meet up at the same time in both destinations.
Senders are advised to do a video call to confirm the identities of all parties involved in the transaction. Funds should be handed over to Receivers at the same time.
For a limited time only, it is FREE to sign up as a Mo Mo Network member.
After the launch promotion period, there is a one-time sign up fee of just US$25.00.
For the most part, cash is the method of payment when handing over money to Receivers.
However, Senders may request that payment is made to the local bank account of the Receiver. In this event, a copy of the bank deposit transaction is required to confirm payment.
There is no limit. However we do not recommend that you do a single Mo Mo Transaction when sending a large sum of money.
If you have a large sum of money to send, we suggest you do multiple transactions with different Senders to reduce the risk.
If you have already done multiple transactions with the same Sender on the other side and credibility is established, you may choose to send larger sums at your discretion and at your own risk.
The Administrator of the Mo Mo Network does not get involved in transactions. The Senders must contact each other to conduct their own due diligence.
Senders must also engage in the following optional best practices to minimise risks.
- Request a copy of the other Sender's national ID prior to the meeting to hand over money.
- Arrange to meet in a busy, pubic place with CCTV camera coverage.
- Do a video call during the transaction for facial recognition of all Senders and Receivers.
- Check reviews of the Sender on the Mo Mo platform.
Mo Mo is not a bank or other financial institution.
Mo Mo is a social media network that brings together people from all over the world to send/receive money worldwide.
Technically, the money does not leave the country. Therefore there are no foreign currency considerations.
